Firearm Advocacy Organizations

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The text of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution appears in the Bill of Rights, ratified on December 15, 1791.

In Alphabetical Order—The following organizations are focused on our 2nd Amendment rights. Pick at least one and become a member or supporter if you haven't already done so!

  • American Gun Owners Alliance

The American Gun Owners Alliance (AMGOA) aims to create a unified voice for law-abiding gun owners across the United States, particularly those not represented by larger organizations. It seeks to educate both gun owners and the public about proposed laws that may infringe on Second Amendment rights and to mobilize members to influence legislation at all levels of government. The organization emphasizes solidarity against unconstitutional laws and works to prevent the passage of legislation that could restrict gun ownership.

  • Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) is dedicated to protecting your firearms rights. Our role is to educate grassroots activists, the public, legislators, and the media. Our programs are designed to help all Americans understand the importance of the Second Amendment and its role in keeping Americans free.

  • Gun Owners of America

GOA was founded in 1976 by the late Sen. H.L. (Bill) Richardson. The GOA Board of Directors brings over 100 years of combined knowledge and experience on guns, legislation and politics. GOA's Board is not satisfied with the "status quo." Americans have lost some of our precious gun rights and we want them back! This is why GOA is considered the "no compromise" gun lobby. From state legislatures and city councils to the United States Congress and the White House, GOA represents the views of more than two million gun owners whenever their rights are threatened.

  • Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership

JPFO works to destroy so-called "gun control" (code words for disarming innocent people), exposing misguided notions that lead people to seek so-called "gun control," and we encourage Americans to understand and defend all the Bill of Rights for all citizens.

  • National Association for Gun Rights

With its rapidly expanding membership of 4.5 million grassroots activists, National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) has led the charge to halt the radical anti-gun agenda across the nation.

  • National Rifle Association

The NRA is America's preeminent gun rights organization, made up of millions of members. Together, we fight and win the toughest battles for the Second Amendment, all while offering the best firearms educational programs in the country.

  • Second Amendment Foundation

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is a U.S. nonprofit dedicated to defending and promoting the right to keep and bear arms through legal action, public education, and advocacy. Founded in 1974 by Alan Gottlieb and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, SAF is committed to safeguarding Second Amendment rights and challenging laws that restrict firearm ownership or self-defense rights. The organization engages in public education, publishes gun rights materials, funds conferences, and provides media contacts to promote awareness of the Second Amendment.

  • U.S. Concealed Carry Association

The USCCA was founded in 2003 by Tim Schmidt, beginning with the launch of Concealed Carry Magazine in 2004. It has grown into a national organization with over 870,000 members, dedicated to empowering Americans to safely and responsibly protect themselves and their families. The USCCA is not a government agency but strongly supports Second Amendment rights.
